Stage 3 Learning Centre in the Sydney Morning Herald

Mystery Skype
On Friday, we had the exciting opportunity of doing a Mystery Skype. This is a game where one class uses their geography skills to discover the location of the other somewhere in the world.
Through questioning, we discovered that the other school was in the Northern Hemisphere near the equator. Through more specific questions we identified they were in Singapore.
Slowly we honed into their location, identifying they were an International Baccalaureate School. Then we asked the winning question! We had solved the Mystery Skype.
It was very exciting to ask questions and to get an answer which helped us solve the problem. We loved the opportunity to communicate with schools on the other side of the world. Discovering more about what life is like for students from around the world. We all certainly look forward to the next Mystery Skype!
