Devotions Lesson

Today Mrs Bessell spoke to the students about the Resurrection of Jesus. There was certainly evidence that this happened in history...

The students played a game that required them to think about evidence...

There was a lot of excitement in the classroom as the students explored the words that were written on the cards.

AT THE END OF THE LESSON MRS BESSELL ASKED THE STUDENTS TO REFLECT ON ONE OF THE FACTS THAT THEY READ AND TO SHARE IT WITH THE CLASS.

It was an excellent and thought provoking lesson.

What does a cubic metre look like?

A group of Year 6 students created a cubic metre.

We decided to think about whether some of our cubes could make up a cubic metre.

Actually one cube is not really a cube...

If 8 cubes did fit into the cubic metre then each cube would be 12500 cubic centimetres.

One cubic metre is equal to 1 000 000 centimetres cubed.
100x100x100cm=1 000 000

States of Matter

Today Year 6 thought about states of matter. We started by thinking about what we know about solids, liquids and gases. Then we made slime in groups and tried to decide if slime is a solid or a liquid.

We will discuss what state of matter slime is and update with the new-found information.
