Year 6 are studying government this term. Yesterday we tried out an activity where students had to read a range of facts about the three levels of government in Australia, each printed on a hexagon, and then arrange the facts to show how they connected. Students worked in groups so this became a collaborative activity. As you can see form th photos, there are multiple ways to connect the hexagons! Students must be able to justify their connections - the learning is in the process. The information had to be recorded in some way. Some wrote it in a Google doc, others simply took a photograph.
